The Specimen Lake

The Specimen Lake is around 2 acres in size and has 2 islands towards the southern bank of the lake. The lake has a stock of around 100 carp, with almost half of them in the mid/upper double-figure bracket. There are more than thirty carp which exceed 20lb in weight and eight that are known to have crossed the 30lb barrier to a lake record of over 35lb.

In addition to the 2 islands, there are lily pads, reed beds and an overhanging willow tree to aim for while in pursuit of the carp. There are only 6 pegs on the lake, allowing each angler to have an appropriate amount of water.
